The W.L. Weller whiskies are produced to a recipe that has a much higher wheat percentage than other bourbons which give them a light, sweet character making for a softer drinking experience. Well, softer to an extent as this has been bottled at a feisty 45% ABV.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – Damson jam, burnt honey, caramelised apricot and wood polish.
Palate – Butter popcorn, spices, cedar wood and cigar smoke and burnt sugar.
Finish – Getting nuttier, roasted almonds and sugar almonds, peppery.
