Stormchaser was initially matured in a mix of virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks, before being finished in two wildly different, but still complimentary, types of cask – Irish stout barrels and Madeira casks. The nose is bursting with aromas of cocoa, rich roasted malt, bittersweet hops and dark berries, complimented on the palate by notes of soft spice, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, creamy vanilla, orange peel and dark fruit that linger in the finish.
