Pikes Riesling "Hills & Valleys" comes from the cool climate of Clare Valley in South Australia. Henry Pike migrated to South Australia in the late 1800's and first began a brewing company. However, today Henry's great grandson Edgar, who was a vigneron and vineyard manager, along with his son Neil and Andrew are continuing their family tradition with Pikes Wines. Neil is chief winemaker and Andrew is the viticulturalist and they continuously produce quality handcrafted riesling that receives top accolades. Drink with any seafood or white meat (of course), but it does work admirably with gruyere cheese too. Great with Indian food or anything with a hint of spice.
