It is a modern, powerful and full-bodied wine which counts on this winery's wisdom and great tradition in the production of these classic Rioja wines. It is the top wine of Bodegas Muga, and since it came out on the market, it has become one of the greatest modern wines from Rioja. For the production of this wine, the varieties used are Tempranillo and Graciano grapes from 60-year-old vines. The grapes are destemmed and macerated in cold. The fermentation is conducted spontaneously and in a natural way in wooden deposits, without a control of the temperature and with indigenous yeasts, being prolonged for 2-3 weeks. Aro is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels from the winery's own barrel-making. Subsequently, it is kept in wooden deposits for 6 more months. After the ageing, it is slightly clarified with fresh egg whites before being bottled.
