The signature floral characters of Cabernet Franc are there too populating the aromatic profile. A dense but smooth tannic structure comes with crisp acidity that underlines the freshness of the dark berry fruit dominant notes. Layers of dark cocoa and pepper, with hints of delicately earthy traits make a stunningly bright tasting experience, yet with depth and complexity. Domaine de Ventenac is found about 10km north of Carcassonne in the appellation of Cabardes which, because of its location between f the Massif Cantral on one side and the Pyrenees on the other, enjoys a climate which is an interesting mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences ensuring ideal conditionsfor growing all sorts of grape varieties.
