Thanks to a very rigorous plot selection, Petit Guiraud expressese something different of the Château Guiraud's terroir. The wine is floral very tasty and light.

While the average production ratio in Bordeaux is one bottle of wine per vine, Chateau Guiraud craft only one glass. That’s some serious concentration and complexity coming from one single vine. And how do they manage it? By banishing chemicals that encourage over-production, and promoting biodiversity in the vineyard. A study in 2010 found 635 species of insects and spiders in their vineyards and in 2011 they became the first Grand Cru Classé to be certified organic. Quality, alongside their pioneering nurturing of the Bordeaux landscape, is at the heart of what they do.

The core of Guiraud’s vibrant sweet style comes from the wonderful aromatics and minerality of their Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Not only famous for their Sauternes dessert wines, they make an incredible dry white that spends 7 months in the oak barrels that were used for the previous year’s sweet Grand Cru – exciting stuff!
