Dark Forest Honey Mead (12% ABV) a gorgeous traditional mead fermented from a dark, smoky forest honey from Galicia in Northern Spain and aged in carefully selected American oak whiskey casks from Midleton Distillery in Co Cork. This cask had been seasoned with single pot still Irish whiskey.
Tasting Notes: This new 2026 edition is noticeable different to previous year’s, We can’t wait for you to taste it! Finished semi sweet with enticing whiskey aromas, butterscotch, baked apple, plums and white chocolate with a lingering vanilla and melon finish. There are wonderful whiskey notes without the whiskey burn!
Serve: Best served on its own lightly chilled allowing the honey and whiskey notes to linger.
