A fresh, fruity and spicy Shiraz from Stellenbosch in South Africa.
A little bit of Mourvedre and a tiny bit of Viognier sit alongside the Shiraz in this full bodied wine. It's dark ruby red in colour with expressive aromas of violets, redcurrant and cherries with hints of white pepper and liquorice. On the palate those typical hedgerow berry fruit, dried herbs and white pepper spice flavours come through with a restrained use of oak adding softness. The fresh, vibrant acidity lifts the dark fruit flavours leading to a clean finish.
Being nicely smooth and full bodied makes this an excellent partner to red meats from the grill or barbie, or in winter big beefy stews are just the thing.
