“I Toscani” is the first wine of Azienda Agricola Toscani's estate. It was born as a tribute to their grandfather, a man who loved sharing, happiness and good wine. He also was a photographer for the Italian Newspaper “Corriere della Sera” and created the original logo for their Italian photography back - “Rotofoto”. This is what gives inspiration to the label.

The wine is a blend of Syrah and Teroldego with a very small hint of Petit Manseng and Greco grapes. The IGT appellation has allowed for flexibility in the winemaking process, and Rocco Toscani has used true creativity to make a one of a kind wine.

While Syrah is typical of this area, Teroldego is a northern grape that originates in Trentino Alto-Adige. It is rare to find it outside its home, but the producers have cared for their vines, allowing them to thrive in their Tuscan soils. The Syrah grapes are macerated for 20 days, while the Teroldego, and pressed instantly. The wines are then fermented together with a small percentage of Petit Manseng and Greco grapes (another unique combination of both white grapes, and a rare find in Tuscany!). This blend offers a perfectly balanced wine with scents of intense black fruit derived from Teroldego and sweet spices from the Syrah, and a refreshing acidity from the white grapes.

This is a great wine to enjoy every day, and enjoy a unique perspective of Tuscan Wines.
