An elegant and mineral Chardonnay with a hint of Auxerrois from Alsace.
Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is the result of the union of two Alsatian families with a long winemaking tradition, the Zind family from Wintzenheim and the Humbrecht family from Guebershwich. The winery is considered to be one of the best wine producers in Alsace. It has some exceptional vineyards in diverse and complex soils and produces with great delicacy and thoroughness. Domaine has been cultivating biodynamically since 1997 and is run by Olivier Humbrecht, who was the first Frenchman to be awarded the prestigious title of Master of Wine.
Zind-Humbrecht Zind is qualified as a Vin de France since the AOC Alsace only allows Chardonnay to be produced as a sparkling wine. It is a wine that fermented slowly and ended up dry.
Zind-Humbrecht Zind is a vivacious, intense, elegant and mineral Chardonnay and Auxerrois, with a somewhat citric mouthfeel and a pleasant acidity that gives it a pleasant freshness.
