Tocca Stelle comes from a small vineyard with vines over 40 years old. This 929-year-old single vineyard in the middle of Chianti Classico was lovingly restored to its former glory by wine entrepreneur Alejandro Bulgheroni starting in 2012. The production volume is so small that it has not been entered in the official tastings. It is refined for 12 months in large Allier barrels.
The wine fills the room with classic aromas of dusty red cherries and earth, red roses, violets and toasted, spicy almonds. On the palate, these first impressions are perfectly reflected, the complexity and structure of this rare red providing the ideal conditions for good further bottle ageing. The finish is long and mineral. A Tuscan joy-giver that could not be more classic.
