A Bacanora blanco from Aguamiel, distilled in Sonora, Mexico. Like Tequila and mezcal, Bacanora is a distilled agave spirit that can only be made in Sonora, though the distillation of Bacanora was illegal until 1922. Earthy, smoky aromas fill the nose at first, followed by soft anise and mesquite wood. The palate offers notes of liquorice, grassy agave, caramel and wood spice.
