An abbey style dubbel from the Sint Bernardus brewery, which takes its name from Mont des Cats monks who were forced to cross the border between France and Belgium at the start of the 20th century and made abbey cheese at the Refuge Notre Dame de St.Bernard in Watou until 1934. The cheese factory continued, however, and in 1959 added brewing to their activities thanks to a license from Trappist Monks of Westvleteren that lasted up until 1992. Pater 6 is one of the original recipes from this heritage.
