Made from 45-year-old vines, this superb wine boasts an attractive dark ruby colour. The nose gives off aromas of black fruit and spices, accompanied by woody and smoky notes, all brought out by 14 months in barrel. The palate is powerful, with present, well-coated tannins and pleasant woody notes. This wine has a fine structure and good aromatic persistence, which will come to the fore once it has spent some time in the cellar.
