The most famous Italian bubbles in the half-sparkling version: the modern way of tasting Prosecco DOC. The second fermentation in pressurized steel tanks and the pressure that does not exceed the three atmospheres make it ideal to be enjoyed by the glass or the whole meal. This “frizzante” wine combines the traditional production of Tenuta Sant'Anna with the innovative closure: the screw cap.
Grapes: Glera 100%
Origin: DOC Prosecco
Altitude: 30 – 45 m s.l.m.
Soil: Medium blend, with clay-like tendency
Vinification: The harvested grapes are first de-stemmed and then crushed gently. The must obtained is transferred to steel vats where the wine-making process takes place at controlled temperatures. Once the wine ‘base’ has been obtained, the transformation into sparkling wine may begin: a selection of yeasts are added in the steel tanks which transform the wine into a refined spumante over a period of two months.
Tasting notes: Straw-yellow color of medium intensity. In the glass it forms a crown of dense, particulate froth, replenished with small long-lasting bubbles. The bouquet produces aromas of acacia, peach and pear flowers. Easy and pleasant to taste, initially fresh and soft to the palate, the flavor gives way to fruity notes and an agreeable element of sapidity.
Serving suggestion: Very versatile, this sparkling wine is particularly appreciated as an aperitif with appetizers and starters in general, with cheeseboards and light cold cuts. It should be served cool at a temperature of around 6-8°C.
