Building on an inherited tradition, Matt D’arcy & co ltd are proud to present their first release in over a century: a captivatingly unique, individually numbered, rare single cask 17-year-old single malt.
With only 384 bottles produced, this limited edition pays homage to the entrepreneurial spirit of the founder Matt D’arcy.
The whiskey has spent 12 months finishing in a rum cask — a reference to the Barbadian rum barrels that arrived in the merchant city of Newry via its famous canal, and which contributed to Matt D’arcy’s whiskey achieving the world-class reputation it earned throughout the 19th century. This truly is a special fusion of flavours with its origins in the port of Newry.
