An exclusive release in celebration of Belfast Whiskey Week 2025.
Shortcross Single Malt 7 Year Old Irish Whiskey has been proudly distilled, matured and bottled at Rademon Estate Distillery in County Down.
Matured for 5 years in an ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for a further 2 years in a Mourne Mountains Brewery Stout Cask. Bottled at cask strength, 58% ABV.
This expression of Shortcross Irish Whiskey showcases their signature Single Malt Irish Whiskey notes of green orchard fruits and milk chocolate. While the stout cask adds deeper notes of dark chocolate and coffee.
Double distilled for depth of flavour on copper pot stills, including one of the smallest whiskey stills on the island of Ireland.
Non-chill filtered, all natural colour.
Nose:
Freshly brewed mocha coffee, with sweet malt notes as the whiskey opens up.
Palate:
Sweet malt leads as chocolate and coffee notes follow. Stout influence is clear and marries the other flavours together. Notes of fresh green apple with hints of crème brûlée, giving a full bodied whiskey.
Finish:
A medium to long finish as the stout influences continues to lead, while coffee and chocolate notes intermingle. The finish rounds out as notes of green apple and orchard fruits reappear alongside malt spice.
