This Cru is located in the immediate vicinity of Gigondas. It extends over Sarrians, where the "Garrigues" plateau is shallow, clayey, and stony. This "garrigue" landscape is typical of the region, and the wines are truly marked by aromas of spices and dried herbs. Provence in every way.
Grape varieties
Grenache, Syrah, old Cinsault and Mourvèdre.
Winemaking
Vinification in temperature-controlled vats. Daily pumping over and 18-day maceration. Aging in vats (mostly) and oak barrels aged 1 to 4 years.
Bottling 12 to 14 months after harvest.
Tasting
Brilliant ruby color. Aromas of red and black fruits with hints of mint and spice. On the palate, the fruit is very expressive, with blackberry and peppery notes. The roundness and elegance of the tannins make this wine both dense and elegant. The finish offers notes of garrigue and licorice.
