This is a dry, bright, fruity wine, young and refreshing with apple and lemon notes in the aroma and the taste. It is a pleasant, smooth wine that is easy to drink, an excellent everyday wine. In Portuguese, Portada means the outside or inside doors of the windows.
The grapes are destemmed before they go through pelicular maceration and are then pressed. The must is cooled to 15ºC and is passed through a vacuum filter with perlites. Fermentation is achieved using active dry yeasts and the temperature is controlled at 16ºC to 18ºC. The wine is aged for one month in its bottles.
An excellent aperitif, it also complements fish, poultry, vegetarian, Indian and Thai cuisines as well as lighter flavoured dishes and fresh cheeses.
