GRAPE VARIETIES: grenache 80%, syrah 10%, mourvèdre 6% and cinsault 4%.

Vieux Télégraphe’s "second-label" Châteauneuf-duPape red, made with the grapes of young vines under 30 years old, plus fruit from the red plantings from Clos La Roquète
In vats for 10 months, then in French oak foudres (30 hl) for about 7 months. Bottled at 15-16 months, released at 18 months.

This is a Châteauneuf-du-Pape seriously dominated by Grenache which confers very singular suppleness and roundness. Best savoured young.

"Moving to the 2019s, these unquestionably have another level of concentration and depth over the 2018s. Starting with the 2019 Châteauneuf du Pape Télégramme, this deep purple-hued beauty boasts a great nose of both black and blue fruits, peppery herbs, and crushed stone to go with a medium to full-bodied, meaty, mouthfilling style on the palate. It's one of the more structured vintages for this cuvée that I can recall, and it also might just be one of the best yet.
91-93+. Points."
